Ostara Spring Ritual *

Sunday, March 16, 2008, 4 p.m.
Paint Branch Unitarian Universalist church
3215 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD 20783
Doors open at 4 p.m. The main ritual will be held in the Kelly Room, starting at 5 p.m. Children's activities will be held in a separate classroom.

Bring food to share, and supplies you would like to use in creation of the altar.

Directions: From 495, take New Hampshire Avenue north. Stay in the right lane and turn right on Powder Mill Road just north of the Beltway exit. Follow Powder Mill as it turns left past the military installation, and watch for the church as it comes up suddenly on the right.

From I-95, take Route 212, Powder Mill Road, south towards Calverton. The church is on the left, and comes just after the intersection with Cherry Hill Road as Powder Mill drops to a single lane each direction.

May Day Picnic Celebration *

Sunday, April 27, 2008
Patapsco Valley State Park, Glen Artney Area, Site #66

The site we've rented has a roof and walls over the picnic table and charcoal grills, so the event will proceed even if it rains. Bring food to share and a trash bag. Admission to the park is $2 per person. The park opens at 10 a.m. and closes at 8 p.m. Ritual starts at 1 p.m. Restrooms are located a short walk (or a shorter drive) from the site.

From I-95, take I-195 East. Exit onto Route 1 North (exit 3, Elkridge). Look for the park sign on the left side and turn left on South Street toward the park. Follow the signs to the Glen Artney area and site #66.
